Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By clicking "I accept" you are deemed to have read and understood these terms. The users who provide accommodation and/or experiences will be called hosts and users of these services will be called clients. All references to “We”, “Us”, “Our” or “CP” in these terms refer to Casa Particular .com.
We act as a booking agency for hosts who provide accommodation and experiences. We do not provide, own or run any accommodation or host experiences ourselves. We take full responsibility for the booking service we provide, but not for those accommodation or experiences booked.
Casa Particular.com is a trading name and brand name of Globe Goers UK Ltd. Your contract is with Globe Goers UK, a limited company registered in England and Wales, number 4865245. Registered office and trading address is DRCA Business Centre, Charlotte Despard Avenue, Battersea Park, SW11 5HD, London, United Kingdom of Great Britain. Bookings and customer service staff can be telephoned on +44 20 7498 8444.
We will always try to provide our booking services exactly as described in our website; although we can’t verify nor guarantee that all the information provided by our hosts is exact, complete or correct. Each host is responsible for submitting accurate details of their house(s) and/or experience(s). The descriptions, photographs, pricing, rules, conditions, addresses, etc. will be reviewed in order to check its suitability for our website, and we will reject, make changes or remove content we do not consider to be appropriate.
These terms and conditions are limited to and only apply to the Casa Particular products and services on the website www.casaparticular.com, and do not apply to other services purchased from Globe Goers UK, and in no way shall be treated as a part of a holiday "package", even if they are itemized together for your convenience on a single confirmation invoice or itinerary.
Formation of contract
By making a booking on this website, you are bound by these booking conditions. A binding contract will come into effect between you and us when we issue an invoice, whether or not you receive it.
We cannot accept bookings from people younger than 18 years.
It is your responsibility to check the details on the provided itineraries, confirmation documents, invoices, vouchers and other communication materials upon receipt to ensure they are correct, and you should have them available for showing.
If you are a host you have the responsibility to guarantee the conditions of your house and/or experience accordingly to what has been declared on the website. You should always contact us regarding any change on infrastructure, pricing or any other issue that may affect the client’s booking.
If you are planning on becoming a host for Casa Particular.com it is important that you follow the steps perfectly in the Be a Host Page to ensure your house/experience has all the information needed to be uploaded correctly.
Price and payment
Online payment must be in the form of an online deposit by debit or credit card, by check or bank transfer in UK pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated, and it will be managed by our offices in London. The rest of the amount should be paid locally to the host upon arrival in CUC.
Once you have paid the online deposit and received our confirmation voucher, your reservations will not be subjected to any surcharge. However, we reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Unless otherwise specified, the prices quoted include taxes if applicable.
Payments made using non-GBP Sterling credit or debit cards will be by default converted from GBP Sterling by our dynamic currency conversion service provider. If you would like that your card company does the currency conversion, please let us know in advance.
Booking with Casa Particular .com
1. You send us your booking request by filling the online form.
2. You receive an automatic email with a Request Code for us to be able to identify your booking request. Please keep it accessible.
3. We check for availability for your selected dates with the Host and we will reply back to you ASAP.
4. We email you the booking confirmation.
5. You should pay the online deposit.
6. You will receive a confirmation voucher letting you know your booking has been finalized. You will have to bring this to Cuba.
7. You will pay the remaining amount (around 75 % of the booking) to the host upon arrival in the local currency (CUC).
Cancellation Policies Casa Particular / Experiences
If a client wants to cancel a booking that has been confirmed (meaning the online deposit has been payed and the confirmation voucher of said payment received by the client), the Cancellation Policy is applied according to the case:
-If the cancellation of the booking is made with less than 7 days before the arrival of the client, the online deposit for the services will NOT be reimbursed to the client.
-If the cancellation of the booking is made 7 to 29 days before the arrival date, the Cleaning and Booking Fees (around 10 % of the online deposit) will be reimbursed to the client. The rest of the online deposit will not be reimbursed.
-If the cancellation of the booking is made with 30 days or more before the arrival of the client, the total amount of the online deposit will be reimbursed to the client.
-If the hosts cancels a confirmed booking, before the arrival date, our team will make a new accommodation offer to the client, if the offer is not accepted, full online deposit will be reimbursed.
We will always try to assist you if you wish to change your booking details, although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. All amendments are subject to availability. We will always try not to be unreasonable in the implementation of these conditions.
Therefore, if you wish to change your booking after your online deposit you will have to make a new booking and let us know so we can cancel the first one. We then will compare the difference of the online deposit already paid and the new deposit and arrange it from there.
If the host needed to cancel a booking he/she must let Casa Particular .com team know 15 to 30 days before the arrival date of the client so we can make new accommodation arrangements for the client. If the host doesn’t notify Casa Particular .com Team within this time frame (unless an emergency situation occured and they are incapable of notifying within this period of days) a sanction will be applied to said host on our website.
Behaviour of Clients
Please note that your booking arrangements will be terminated by ourselves or our hosts concerned (e.g. casas, experiences host, tour leaders etc.), if you are behaving in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger or distress to others or damage to property, Casa Particular .com will not be liable to make any refund, pay any compensation or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result of your behaviour. Please note that, at all times you are subject to the laws of the country you are visiting and must respect local cultures and customs. You must leave the property and all fixtures and fittings in substantially the same repair, condition, cleanliness and general order in which you found it excluding reasonable wear and tear. You are liable to pay compensation direct to property owners for any breach of this requirement by you or your party. The property owner may request that a security deposit be payable against the cost of breakages, unpaid phone bills or other obligations of the customers. This is a matter between you and the property owner.
Behaviour of Hosts
Please note that you must meet the conditions specified on your clients booking at all times (e.g. house infrastructure, pricing, availability for the booking on the accorded dates, experiences details, services offered, etc.) if you are behaving in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger or distress to the clients (or being disrespectful about the client's cultures, religion or customs), Casa Particular .com will not be liable to make any intervention and you house or experience will be removed from our website as a result of your behavior, ending any collaboration with us.
Content for Hosts
We reserve the right to delete, modify, or not to accept content provided by our hosts that we consider don't subject to these terms, or somehow can be unacceptable to us. The hosts must be responsible for checking and making sure that the information submitted is accurate and matches the reality of their services.
All content submitted must relate to our services, and sent or transmitted through our system. The hosts understand and state they are satisfied with the fact we are an online market, and therefore, we commit ourselves to the content posted on the website. In addition to that, we will moderate the data that contains slander, offenses, obscenities, etc. We cannot hold responsibility for the protection of intellectual property, personal data, or non-public information, once the host has submitted their data to our website, said content becomes property of Casa Particular .com too.
Pictures uploaded by hosts
-Pictures mustn't include people without their previous authorization.
-The pictures must be uploaded in JPEG format and should show as many spaces of the house as possible. Not only the interior, but the exterior areas.
-We reserve the right to delete the images that don’t match our conditions.
-Each host accepts that we can reproduce completely or partially any picture uploaded, for their own promotion and our site’s.
-All the pictures uploaded as a banner or into room and house picture gallery should have a brief description of what you can see on it (the name of the room, type of bedroom, the photographed space of the house, etc.)
-The photographs submitted by the hosts will be of their own property and will not have the Casa Particular .com logo.
Cover picture: This is the presentation of your room, so you should use one of your best pictures, with a view as widespread as possible. For a better visualization this picture should have a resolution of 390 x 245px. If you upload a picture with other resolution the system will resize it automatically and can affect the proper displaying of it.
Banner picture: This is the main picture on the details page of your room and must be in landscape orientation. We recommend, for a proper visualization, resolutions not lower than Full HD (1920 x 1080 px). You could use other resolution, but it can interfere with the proper displaying. Note that the pictures that you upload to this section will be the first ones displayed on your room picture gallery.
Room pictures gallery: Here you will be able to upload all your room pictures. You can feel free of use the resolution of your preference. We recommend, for a better visualization resolutions not lower than 800 x 600px, always having in mind that bigger is better.
House pictures gallery: Here you will be able to upload all the pictures of the common areas of your house. You can feel free of use the resolution of your preference. We recommend, for a better visualization resolutions not lower than 800 x 600px, always having in mind that bigger is better.
Use of our mark or logo
Compensation will not be paid for situations beyond our control. Examples which include but are not limited to war or threat of war, civil strike, industrial disputes, government resolutions or decrees that disrupt normal operations, natural disaster, regional disruption of basic utilities, bad weather, terrorist activity, transfer rescheduling or cancellation, technical or maintenance problems with transport, etc.
While we make every reasonable effort to ensure that the accommodation and other services are accurate, no responsibility is taken for errors contained therein or the results thereof.
Facilities and Services
Photographs and descriptions of Casas and Experiences facilities are shown in good faith. Room descriptions are supplied by the hosts and in some cases we may sometimes refer to Luxury or Independent accommodation. These are in general, larger rooms with additional features however this does not necessarily mean that the accommodation comprises more than one room. It is possible that occasionally facilities may be unavailable or limited, due to Casa maintenance, adverse weather conditions or seasonal restrictions etc. All facilities in your accommodation will be informed to you by the host or showed in our website. No food and/or other services are provided unless specified.
We cannot stress enough the importance of taking out adequate holiday insurance against cancellation charges, unexpected curtailment of your holiday, medical expenses arising overseas, personal liability claims against you, loss or damage to luggage. It is a mandatory requirement of the Cuban authorities that all travelers to Cuba, foreign and Cuban people living abroad, shall have a travel and medical insurance that covers Cuba, and present if demanded, a policy certificate or card. Should you choose not to take out suitable travel insurance cover, despite this advice, then you undertake on behalf of yourself and all members of your party to indemnify both ourselves and our overseas agents and representatives.
Activities outside the booking arrangements
Local excursions or other activities including festival events (that are not Experiences provided by Casa Particular .com), you may choose to book and pay for before you depart and purchase outside your previous booking arrangements, or you book and pay for whilst you are in Cuba, are not part of your booking provided by us, nor are we acting in any capacity save as retail booking agents for the provider of the service. For any excursion or other activity you book through our representative or with which you are assisted in arranging before departure or during your stay, your contract will solely be with the supplier of the excursion or activity and not with Casa Particular .com
Health & Safety
It is the responsibility of all clients to seek advice from appropriate sources regards to inoculations, vaccinations or medical treatment that may be recommended/required for the country/countries they are visiting. We cannot accept liability for passengers who do not seek advice and are not adequately protected.
If you are traveling with young children, we recommend that you advise us at the time of booking. The safety of your children is of utmost importance to us. However, we must stress that it is your responsibility to take care of your children and their safety at all times during your stay.
Always drink and wash salads in boiled or bottled water.
Always refuse to eat under-cooked chicken, eggs and/or salads washed in tap water.
Pregnancy Note: Airline regulations state that women with 28 weeks or more into pregnancy, at the time of return travel, must have medical certification of fitness to travel. Normally after 32 weeks into pregnancy permission to travel is refused however, Airlines have different policies and we would need to check as to whether they will agree to carry you, prior to confirming your holiday.
It is imperative that you notify us of your pregnancy at the time of booking or as at such time you become aware.
Pets: In most Casas, pets are not allowed. Although, if you wish to travel with a pet, please include it on your booking request for us to take into consideration when managing your reservation.
It is totally forbidden by the Clients/Hosts to use the contents to:
Engage in illicit, illegal or harmful activities, or that, in any way, may cause prejudice or prevent the normal functioning of the website.
Vulnerate any of the rights of the provider or of us as the legitimate owner.
Commercial or advertising purposes.
Distribution, reproduction or modification, either total or partial, except that our written authorization is granted as legitimate owner.

Do not spread propaganda or content of a racist, xenophobic, pornographic-illegal, apology to terrorism or assault against human rights.
Do not carry out a conduct that may damage the image, interests and rights of Casa Particular. Com
You may be asked to review the casa particular and/or experiences. We appreciate all feedback but We are not responsible for the information and content stored in forums, social networks or any other means that allows third parties to publish content independently on the website of the provider.
We use Google Analytics Cookies, which collect anonymous info about visits to the Website. This information helps us to make improvements to website content and navigation, and includes your IP address, the date, times and frequency with which you access the Website. All the data you provide us will be incorporated into a database, created and maintained under our responsibility. All data will only be used for the purpose of managing the services offered, meet the requests that we raise, perform administrative tasks, and send technical, commercial or advertising information via ordinary or electronic. Apart from the legally established cases, your data will not be communicated or assigned to third parties without your express consent.
We reserve the right to reject external links or addresses of other websites, and delete them without prior warning or consent of any user.

Your use of the website does not give you ownership of any of the content, codes, data or materials that you may access on/through the website.
Any distribution, publication, commercial or promotional exploitation of the website, or any of the contents, codes, data or materials on the website, is strictly prohibited, unless you have received prior express written permission from authorized personnel.
