Zaza, Sancti Spiritus
Zaza del Medio is one of those Cuban typical country towns, with the traditional park, the Church, stores and houses with tiles of mud. Belonging to Taguasco, the central municipality in Santi Spiritus and thirty kilometers of Santi Spiritus municipality, Zaza del Medio is a town that was founded by Canary Islander that settled in these rich lands of tobacco and cane, taken a bath by the zigzaging Zaza river.
But Zaza del Medio has, also, two jewels worshipped by every people of this place, which possess the condition of Patrimony of the Town: its ancient rail station and the centennial bridge that it crosses the majestic river.
We can find here Zaza Reservoir; which is the largest man-made reservoir in Cuba. It has a water mirror area of 113.5 km? (43.8 sq mi) and an average volume of 750,000,000 m?.

Hotel Islazul Zaza
It has a huge swimming pool and large sundeck with thatched umbrellas and lounge chairs. There\'s a small games room, and a desultory disco. The small lobby bar lounge tries to recreate a tropical mood with its bamboo furnishings and surfeit of potted plants. You guessed it?mosquitoes abound here!
Alas, not all the 124 air-conditioned rooms have water views, not least due to the inexplicable use of frosted glass in the windows. But all rooms do have balconies, plus satellite TV, phones, mini-refigerators and recently remodeled bathrooms with modern fixtures.
